De lo que percibimos, ¿cuál podría considerarse nuestra realidad y cuál sería la verdad?
¿Existe la verdad sólo en las ciencias con evidencia?

Cognitive Neuroscience: Cognitive neuroscience is an interdisciplinary field that studies the relationship between the brain, cognitive processes (such as perception, attention, memory, and decision-making), and behavior. It seeks to understand how neural mechanisms underlie cognitive functions and how they contribute to our experiences and behaviors.

EEG and ERP are valuable neuroimaging techniques that provide unique insights into brain activity and cognitive processes. EEG measures the electrical activity of the brain with high temporal resolution, while ERP focuses on specific event-related brain responses. Both techniques contribute significantly to the field of cognitive neuroscience, aiding in the understanding of how the brain functions and processes information during various tasks and cognitive states.

NIRS and fNIRS: NIRS (near-infrared spectroscopy) and fNIRS (functional near-infrared spectroscopy) are neuroimaging techniques that use near-infrared light to measure changes in blood oxygenation levels in the brain. fNIRS, specifically, is used to assess brain activity associated with specific cognitive tasks or functions. These techniques are non-invasive and provide real-time information about brain activity, making them valuable tools in cognitive neuroscience research.

Scientific Question: A scientific question is an inquiry that seeks to understand a particular phenomenon or problem using the scientific method. In the context of cognitive neuroscience and fNIRS, scientific questions might involve investigating how specific cognitive processes are represented in the brain, the neural basis of certain disorders, or the effects of interventions on cognition.

Physical Principles: The physical principles underlying NIRS and fNIRS involve the interaction of near-infrared light with biological tissue, specifically the absorption and scattering of light by blood and brain tissue. By measuring changes in light absorption, researchers can infer changes in blood oxygenation and, thus, brain activity.

Experimental Designs: Experimental designs in cognitive neuroscience refer to the structured approach of conducting experiments to address scientific questions. Researchers use experimental designs to manipulate independent variables (such as cognitive tasks or interventions) and measure their effects on dependent variables (such as brain activity measured by fNIRS) while controlling for confounding factors.

"Qualification of perception" is not a standard term in cognitive neuroscience. However, it might refer to the process of characterizing and understanding how the brain perceives and processes sensory information, such as visual, auditory, or tactile stimuli.

Improving Cognition for a Better Life: Cognitive neuroscience research, including the use of techniques like fNIRS, aims to gain insights into cognitive processes and brain functioning. By understanding these processes better, researchers can potentially develop interventions and strategies to enhance cognition and overall life quality, leading to improvements in learning, decision-making, mental health, and overall well-being.

Cognitive neuroscience, NIRS, and fNIRS play a crucial role in investigating cognitive processes and brain activity. By addressing scientific questions using appropriate experimental designs, researchers can gain a deeper understanding of cognition and potentially develop interventions to improve cognitive function and quality of life. This interdisciplinary field continues to advance our understanding of the brain and how it shapes our experiences and behaviors.
