EEG (Electroencephalography) data analysis involves processing and interpreting the electrical signals recorded from electrodes placed on the scalp. This analysis is used to study brain activity and understand neural processes related to various cognitive functions, emotions, and behaviors.

EEG-fMRI refers to the simultaneous recording of EEG and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) data. This multimodal approach allows researchers to combine the high temporal resolution of EEG with the high spatial resolution of fMRI to study brain function more comprehensively.

EEG microstates are brief periods of stable EEG topographies that represent the dynamic organization of neural activity in the brain. Microstate analysis helps identify recurring spatial patterns and provides insights into the functional connectivity and information processing in the brain.

EEG ERP (Event-Related Potentials) analysis focuses on extracting and analyzing brain responses to specific stimuli or events. ERPs are time-locked EEG signals that capture the brain's electrophysiological responses to sensory, cognitive, or motor events.

BCI is a technology that enables direct communication between the brain and external devices, bypassing traditional neuromuscular pathways. It allows individuals to control computers, prosthetics, or other devices using their brain signals.

FFT (Fast Fourier Transform):
FFT is a mathematical algorithm used to transform EEG data from the time domain to the frequency domain. It is used to analyze the power and frequency distribution of neural oscillations in the brain.

P300 and N400:
P300 and N400 are ERP components representing specific cognitive processes. P300 is associated with attention and working memory, while N400 is related to language processing and semantic integration.

NIRS (Near-Infrared Spectroscopy) fNIRS:
NIRS is a non-invasive neuroimaging technique that measures changes in blood oxygenation in the brain. Functional NIRS (fNIRS) is used to study brain activity during cognitive tasks and is particularly suitable for studying infants and young children.

Neuroscience experiments design involves planning and structuring experiments to investigate specific research questions in neuroscience. This includes selecting appropriate tasks, stimuli, and experimental conditions to gather relevant data and draw meaningful conclusions.

Scientific Question:

Connectome:
A connectome is a comprehensive map of neural connections (synapses) in the brain. It represents the structural and functional networks that underlie information processing and communication between different brain regions. Connectome studies aim to understand brain connectivity and how it relates to cognitive functions and neurological disorders.
