Perception has 5 fundamental variables:

1 - Cerebral Connectoma;

2 - Level of activity of your 11 senses (Interoception, Proprioception, Photoception, Equilibrioception, Nociception, Phonoception, etc);

3 - Pre-activated memories;

4 - The level of attention;

5 - The stimulus presented;

Cerebral Connectome: The connectome refers to the intricate network of neural connections in the brain. It encompasses the wiring diagram of the brain, including the structural and functional connections between different brain regions. The connectome plays a crucial role in shaping perception by influencing how information is processed and integrated throughout the brain.

Level of Activity of Your 11 Senses: Perception involves the integration of information from various senses, and humans have multiple sensory modalities, including Interoception (internal sensations), Proprioception (body position), Photoception (vision), Equilibrioception (balance), Nociception (pain), Phonoception (hearing), among others. The level of activity in each of these senses influences how we perceive and interpret the world around us.

Pre-activated Memories: Memories are an integral part of perception. Pre-activated memories are prior experiences or knowledge that can influence how we interpret and respond to current stimuli. Our past experiences shape our perceptions and add context to the incoming sensory information.

The Level of Attention: Attention is a crucial factor in perception. It determines which stimuli or information receive priority processing in our conscious awareness. The level of attention can be influenced by factors such as the salience of the stimulus or our current goals and interests.

The Stimulus Presented: The stimulus presented refers to the sensory information or input received from the external environment. Different stimuli, such as visual, auditory, tactile, or olfactory, elicit specific neural responses and contribute to our overall perception of the world.

By considering these five fundamental variables in the context of perception, researchers and neuroscientists can better understand how the brain processes sensory information and creates our conscious experience of the world. The interplay of these variables provides valuable insights into the complexities of human perception and consciousness.
